Colombian-born Nicolas Alvarez is an award-winning Film composer who has worked with many of the world’s top scoring orchestras in Hollywood, London, Nashville and Europe. Having worked with several major video game and film projects, Nic is well versed in every aspect of music production from composition and orchestration through to music preparation, recording and mixing. In 2015, Nic was one of the 5 finalists for the Golden Eye Award at the 4th International Film Music Competition from the Zurich Film Festival, and received the Diamond Winner Price Award for best score at the International Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Nicolas specialized in music business studies, composing, and orchestration for film and TV. In his youth he played as a percussionist for several orchestras and also went on to study jazz drumming at the Colombian College of Jazz before heading abroad to further expand his musical career. Arriving in Japan in 2005, Nicolas shifted focus to composing and producing music for video games and movies. |
